Did Whinielle feel like he won the tournament?

At the end of KK1 he's so full of himself in the shower, happily signs autographs and really feels like he's the shit for winning the tournament.

In KK3, did Whinielle sulk out of the tournament like an embarrassed loser? He took a vicious beating on the mat and only stole a point at the last second to (ahem) "win".

Surely even Whinielle could realize that it was a hollow victory as he was basically humiliated and had a nervous breakdown in public?

Had he stayed the course with his Quicksilver training maybe he could have a fighting chance.

Without going through the ins and outs, take particular notice at the 2.03 mark. Yes he felt he won the tournament. This feeling would have been enhanced by the fact the whole audience is clapping and cheering.

Perhaps that isn't the question you should be asking.

Take a look at the 2.22 mark.

Whinielle is holding up Miyagi's hand and pointing to him as if to say "I didn't win this tournament, all credit for stealing that point was due to this guy who told me to pull a fake move out of my gargantuan ass".

Well, you could choose to view it that way, and I'm sure you do, but he does say 'WE' did it, so he's crediting himself too.

Would you feel like you had won if you had stolen that point after a kata-fake out?

Stole a single point in a single match.... after being brutalized by someone who scored 47 points on you?

After having a panic attack right on the mat and crying out that you're afraid?

You would feel like the big man walking out with the gold trophy?

PS They weren't clapping for Whinielle they were clapping for Barnes because he made that wimp Whinielle experience PAIN!

Well that's just a bare faced lie, and again not relevant to how Daniel felt.
You can post all the 'How can he...' or 'How can anyone on here believe....', but none of it is relevant to whether or not HE felt like he won. The answer is YES HE THOUGHT HE WON!

Once again you start a thread and somehow turn it in to being about me. Why don't you just cut to the chase and instead of making the title something about Daniel, or Whinnielle as you like to say, and just make it about me? In fact why even do it on the Karate Kid boards, just go and start a new board about me.

1) What fake out are you talking about?
2,3 &4) Barnes did not score 47 points, he scored 2 and lost 2. After having a panic attack and crying out I was afraid... No, I wouldn't feel like the big man walking out with the big gold trophy, but then I'm not Daniel.
Remember though, you were asking If Daniel felt he won not how anybody else would feel.

Hijacking....Lol. You hijack your own threads. You start a thread asking whether people think Daniel felt he won then complain when somebody answers your question simply because you feel the opposite (despite the evidence being against you). Then make it all about what I would feel like in his position as if that somehow vindicates you. How exactly am i defending him here? I simply gave an opinion on whether HE felt he'd won the tournament,

I'm sure Whinielle DID fell like he won right after stealing the point.... all the adrenaline right after having a nervous breakdown and being called "Winner!" I'm sure his head was spinning with euphoria was not in his right mind.

I'm talking about after the dust had settled.... after his shower and he got dressed and walked back out to the car.

Do you think the reality of the situation set in for him at that point... that he scored 1 point in one match and had a mental breakdown... think he realized at that point that his "victory" was empty?

As far as reality is concerned, if Daniel was savvy enough that is, he would have thought about the match and known that the tactics Barnes employed were his ultimate downfall as far as winning the actual fight was concerned. Had Barnes not gone down the dirty route he could have won the match inside 30 seconds. He knows Barnes is tougher than him, but that isn't relevant in a kumite match where there are rules. So ultimately the win a point lose a point was no good because it always allowed for that one shot to land from Daniel.
Daniel will have felt he won the fight simply because he did.

Was Barnes tougher? Yes
Could Barnes have won the fight had it not been for those tactics? Yes

Both moot points here though as far as Daniel is concerned because despite those things, he picked himself up and scored the winning point. So for the last time, YES HE FELT LIKE HE WON!

daniel sucked at karate, i made a thread about it. he was a master of manipulating the scoring system of the karate tournament to score points and win. all his opponents would have kicked his ass in a street fight easy.
