Subs

This movie was only available on VHS in Norway, without any subtitles. It hasn't been officially released on DVD, so the DVD versions that are circulating are bootlegs of the VHS and they have no subtitles either.

My best tip is to get a copy of the English language version of the original novel by Tarjei Vesaas. "The Ice Palace" is available in paperback from Amazon.com or a good bookstore. Read the book and then see the movie.

Some body brought me the movie from Sweden as a gift, but without subtitles, and I don’t want to bay again the movie just for that.
The movie is beautiful so I am really curious about the dialogs. Do some body know how to find the original script or translations?

There are English subtitles at www.allsubs.org and www.findsubtitles.com. There was supposed to be a file at www.opensubtitles.org but my searches there didn't turn up a link to it.
