Wouldn't loose leaf paper be cheaper?

In the film, the kids wrote the note "You're the mother of a prostitute" on computer paper. Wouldn't it have just been cheaper and more economically feasible to write it on loose-leaf paper? It's not like those kids were rich; I mean come on, you need to save Rubles when you can you know. Just a suggestion.
