Why didn't Allison Doody become a bigger star?

From what I've gathered, by 1994, she put her career on hold, moved back to Dublin, married Gavin O'Reilly, son of Irish media mogul Sir Anthony O'Reilly (Ireland's first billionaire), and raised their family in Dalkey. Divorced since 2006, she has resumed her acting career, working primarily on UK television.

According to IMDb, she turned down the Sharon Stone role in "Basic Instinct," the Nicole Kidman role in "Days of Thunder," and a part in "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers". So it's safe to say that the opportunities to be a bigger star were definitely there, but Doody just chose not to.

Basically the answer's in the question

To my knowledge she was up for the part of Eowyn but it didn't happen because she was pregnant

She married the son of a billionaire. She probably got a ton in the divorce and wasn't that passionate about acting. Maybe she found something else to focus on with her free time. It happens a lot. One of my crushes, Bridget Fonda, married Danny Elfman and pretty much retired when she was still crushing it.

She's a whore who showed up to put herself on display to be purchased by a rich guy. She then had some anchor babies and divorced the rich guy to live a totally free life.

Maybe THAT'S the Answer?!

Lol.
