The person wrote in his comment that the girl spoke like people do in Appalachia. This movie was set in far western Kentucky. That 300 plus miles from the mountains.

What's more, people in Appalachia do not speak like that idiotic actress did. She sounded like someone with a mental problem. If you can't learn an accent properly, don't take the part! Her performance was a complete insult to anyone and everyone from the South, particularly anyone from Kentucky.

This is the first negative comment that I have ever read about Emily Lloyd's accent in the film. Most people think she did a pretty good job with it.
