Who has seen this movie recently?

I have been looking everywhere for a copy of this movie but I can't find one and I am going crazy because I really want to see it but can't find the stinking thing!! Is there anyone out there that has seen it recently that would like to talk about it but not give away the ending? Thanks!

I think it is currently out-of-print on DVD after being released as a combo movie with Howling VI. The movie is about a group of people who are all linked by the mark of the beast. They are all invited to visit a centuries old castle that has recently reopened but soon after they arrive the tour guide traps them to find out who is the surviving werewolf. Personally I enjoyed it and have a copy on videotape. Similar in many ways to "The Beast Must Die", which I also enjoyed.

I Netflixed it and watched it recently. I thought it was alright. I enjoyed it. The acting was pretty bad. The werewolf doesn't show up much but, the mysterious atmosphere of the movie was well done. It reminded me the survivor horror games. Much better than the Howling 2-4.

I remember this movie going back to the early 90s. It is by far the best of the sequels, and a decent knockoff of TEN LITTLE INDIANS. Not particularly well acted but creepy and atmospheric. And frankly, I believe the limited use of the werewolf works in the film's favor.

I agree, the mystery aspect is great, and the hidden monster works well. I think more horror movies (and books for that matter) would do well to keep the monster in the shadows more. Our imaginations will always create things more terrifying than an FX department.

I saw it a couple of months ago. I got mine at Suncoast for $14.99 and it also includes #6.

I have it if you want a copy. It was a copy I downloaded off the internet and it is good quality. If you want a copy, let me know and I'll send it to you.

bought it for $1 when Hollywood video purged VHS films.................................guess it was worth it(still bad though)

Just watched it again and its a good little film, although the acting and dialouge are unbeleivably bad in some places.
Probably the best of the series, apart from the original.

I saw it about two or three years ago on VHS. I thought it had a reasonably cool setting and atmosphere. But the acting was really bad, there really isn't much suspense, and I remember that one character's so-called "logical" deduction towards the end for why this one certain character has to be the werewolf was pretty lame when there was another just as likely culprit standing right beside the suspect (and as expected that one person turned out to be the werewolf).

Actually, Mary Lou wasn't in that scene.

I'm long overdue for watching these again. "Howling V" was definately one of the better sequels. I haven't been able to find any on DVD except the original.

This is a good installment of the series, its pretty creepy. But you can find all of the howling movies on dvd now easily. Other than VII (by far the worst with the square dancing) you can find them all on dvd on ebay or amazon.com...so just look and you'll find them. I just got howling 4 on dvd yesterday in the mail on dvd. It was 7 bucks on half.com.

I'm going to watch it right now, just downloaded it. I hope it's as watchable as everyone says. I'll rate and possibly comment after.

EDIT: It's really bad, don't bother. Left comment.
