Is it supposed to be Montclair, Calif.?

Or Montclair New Jersey - where the team is the Mounties?

Anyway, why pick Montclair?

It was a ripoff of FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH. They probably just liked having another town with the root "mont" in it.

I attended Montclair College Prep (Montclair High) when it was located on Ventura Blvd in Tarzana. Vern Simpson was the principal and the owner.
The school moved to Sepulveda Blvd in Northridge soon after. It was a great school and NOTHING like this movie!
