I totally agree. I saw this movie as a teenager and it sticks out in my mind because it was the first, and dare I say ONLY movie that made me cry. And I assure you, I'm not a movie crier.

Check it out, you'll love it!

I saw it when I was a teenager and I finally got around to buying a used copy on Ebay. It's a really poignant tale, two people just thrown away by life coming together. I love it.

I had never seen it before, i just checked it out on cable, and being a fan of both actors I cannot understand why i had never seen it before, all i can say is wow!!, it was a moving film to say the least, I don't know why it has a rating under 5, the acting was some of the best that these 2 actors have done and thats saying a lot for Goldberg., i hope that more people will see it, it deserves a better fate than 4.8

I think I saw this film some 10 yrs back when I was a teenageer and I think it's the only film that made me cry myself to sleep afterwords. Though it wasn't flawless it had some nerve that really moved me, and it had Whoopi Goldberg in one of her best parts since the Color Purple. Espessially her dying scene got stuck on my mind ever since, even though I haven't managed to get hold of it since. And they won't sure as h*** show it on Norwegian television again.

I just watched this for the first time in years, probably the early 90's. It starts out forced, but it grows on you. It's a funny, strange, sad movie.

reply

You all are as dumb as Jim Belushi's character in this godawful movie.

The movie was nothing to shout about. I felt after watching it that I wasted my time.
