Oh, come on!

Nobody is discussing 'Hider in the House'? No one? That's unbelievable. What can't you say about this movie? It works on so many levels that it seems almost... unlevel. And Gary Busey... man! What an actor! He has more talent than teeth.

I say this film deserves a retroactive Academy Award for Best Movie About Hiding in a House.

I know what you mean i discovered Gary Busey in my basement last week, what a sneaky devil he is! This film is overlooked by the mainstream but who needs them anyway?

Finally, another one to join the Hider fold!

And this movie is brilliant in that it would spawn numerous sequels. Hider in the Closet. Hider in the Pantry. Hider in the Hamper! How can you go wrong? And I think Gary Busey is pretty much available to hide anywhere.

Hider in the House... not just for hiders anymore!

Busey in your attic?
Now that’s a terrifying idea!
Shame there is so little activity on this board.

Quick question to all Hider fans, about halfway thru the movie we see in The Hiders Secret Room a calendar and it’s marked with “VACATION!”

Where would this guy go on vacation?

As for sequals. Hider in the Hamper is something I'd see.

I agree with you there that iw as a great movie to watch and I remember that this was one of the many movies that I use to watch on USA Network back in the day. Gary Busey has always been a very good actor in films.

I thought it was an alright movie. Gary Busey was great in his role and so was the beautiful Mimi Rogers

Did so! Didn't you watch the third act?

I concur. Busey played the part well and pretty much carried the film. With a better script and more creepy atmosphere, Hider In The House could have been a top notch thriller. As it is, it's an OK film but not scary or believable.

Have you seen the little piggies crawling in the dirt?

This movie is pretty much what I expected – no better, no worse. Gary Busey always delivers, but I get the feeling that sometimes he holds back a bit out of embarrassment or distraction. This was one of those times. Anyway, 6/10 stars from me.

I don't know how I've never heard of this movie... I even have Eye of the Tiger on vhs for god's sake!

Anyhow, I came upon the vhs of THIS movie at Value Village earlier this week. Glad I picked it up! He's your worst nightmare, butt-horn!

"Would you go to the circus with me?"
"Tom, I think it would be best if you didn't come around here for a while.."
"I'd love a cup of coffee"
"No, Tom.."
"Yess."
"No!"
"Please?"
"Tom, no."
"Just one cup of coffee.."
"No! Please."
"hmmn"

Well its a good B movie and helped by Busey's performance.

Its that man again!!

gary busey always delivers...pizza? a deranged pizza man? i'd pay to see that.

A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.

If Gary Busey's delivering pizza, he's welcome to hide in my house anytime.

Worth the cameo of Brian Krutoff at 0:38 as a guest taking an hors d'oeuvres from Mimi at the party. Outstanding hair.

I tuned into this in the middle......you mean it wasn't his house?!

reply

no. but he loved it like his own.
