Was Tom's house real?

I've always loved Tom Selleck's house in this movie, it's a real "guys" house.

Does anyone know if it was a real house (inside and out) or a set and if it was a real house, where it was/is? I'd love to find out.

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers

Yes it was a real house as I went to school with the family that owned the house and am friends with them.

The house later in the movie with the barn and the dead cat was also real as I grew up with the family that owned that house as well.

Thanks, so where is it located? Don't worry, I'm not going to show up at your friends door or anything, just wondering...

Was the interior the same as in the movie? or did they dress it up?

OK, Confirmation on film location... I just watched the movie "Shooter" with Mark Wahlberg and I immediately recognized the property and house that Phil Blackwood "Tom Seleck" lived in. If you watch the film you will notice it is the same house but just a little bit weathered. I looked up the film location on IMDB and it confirms that Shooter was in Baltimore, Maryland, USA the same house as Her Alibi was filmed. I am moving to Batimore.

One of the best lines in the movie was when Phil brings Nina to his house for the first time, and she says, "You did not tell me you lived in a hotel." lol
