Surrealism

In spite of how bad this film is on so many levels, did anyone else get the sense that there was a solid, surrealist horror movie somewhere under all the scum? It's of course an enjoyably-bad C-grade movie and is worth something as that, but conceptually speaking, it's very bizarre and unique. The plot summary on IMDb is actually what drew me into watching it despite the bad reviews. It's just such a weird story. I felt like there were moments where it did achieve a kind of surrealist quality that was fantastic (the scene where Ron Palillo encounters Josie on the deserted road was one of them)—those moments were few and far between, but I felt like there was a solid and legitimately weird premise underneath all of this that could have been brought out under the work of a better director.

No sorry it was awful on every level.granted the first ten minutes were slightly promising but it quickly deteriorated into an infantile mess.
