......if she'd asked her old friend Betty to hang out with her during prom. That thread was sort of left dangling. I know they were so mean to the fat girl and it was sort of trying to send a "reach out to people who are different than you" message, but on the other hand it could have sent a message about being loyal to your old friends and not trying to be a social climber or whatever.
