I Still Believe, Sun and Moon, and The Fall of Saigon. I pretty much like all the songs except the one of the solo saxophone and the Engineer songs.

My heart is, and always will be, yours.

I love the whole show (seen it over 100 times!).

All the songs are good but I'm surprised none of you have mentioned that show-stopper The American Dream, especially as performed by the incomparable Leo Tavarro Valdez, who has now been playing the Engineer for 11 years!! :)

Other highlights for me include: "The Movie in my Mind", "The Last Night of the World" (Solo Saxophone), "I'd give my life for you", "Bui Doi" and "Now that I've seen her".

I'm a huge fan of the musical theatre genre but MS beats the lot IMHO!! :):):)

Yes Leo is The Engineer for most of the current UK tour. He has so made that role his own having played it on and off for over 10 years. Go see it if you get the chance: http://www.miss-saigon.com/tourroute/index.php

"The Sacred Bird"
"What a Waste/Please"

My favorite...

The whole OBCR rocks! I'd only occasionally skip a few songs, but I usually listen over and over to the whole recording.

But if I really have to choose:

4 - The Dance
7 - Sun and Moon
10 - The Ceremony
12 - The Last Night of the World
14 - I Still Believe
17 - Let Me See His Western Nose
18 - I'd Give My Life For You
19 - Bui Doi
22 - Please
23 - The Fall of Saigon
26 - The Confrontation
28 - The Sacred Bird
Too Much For One Heart

...fantastic...

Dr. Wilson: “How'd you get here?”
Dr. House: “By osmosis.”
- House

For me my favourite song is the song that didn't make the cut... "Too much for one heart". It's honestly my favourite song in the world and I listen to it everynight. I understand the reasons it was cut out, and how the musical bones were transformed into 'please' which in itself is a great piece, but to me it's the ultimate song of the show, building and exploding with three crecendos that move me like no other.
I'll never really imagine how they brought themselves to cut it out, but still I'm happy that it lives outside of the musical, yet encapsulates the whole story and emotions within it. Also selfishly I love the fact that such emmense genius remains largely unknown.

Search on youtube for one of the few performances where Lea has ever sung it. It's a truly incredible piece of music with heartbreakingly perfect lyrics such as my favourite line..

"I have been living with such wonder, that my soul could burst apart"

p.s If I make the movie, I'll put the song back in the libretto ;)
