Some info, if you're interested

Barry Gibb, of the the wonderful, terrific, amazing, awesome, extrodinary Bee Gees did the soundtrack to this movie. And as all thier other music, this is worthy of witholding the Bee Gee name. Great soundtrack! I love you Bee Gees! *kiss kiss*

What I want to know, WHEN IS THIS COMING OUT ON DVD!? :-'(
Anthony is cool, and I LOVE the brits! :-D

I've got the soundtrack on 33LP! and the vhs video (almost worn out).

I WANT THE DVD!!! ... and Timothy Dalton, he he he.

Yea I knew Barry Gibb was involved in this movie, I thought he acted in it, haha, but I was set straight tonight. By two fellow Bee Gee fans

Supposedly Barry Gibb wrote the film with a friend of his, David English, according to the official Bee Gees website (http://www.beegeesonline.com).

This WAS a kickass movie, wasn't it? Time for the DVD treatment. Hey Barry!

reply

David English and Barry Gibb came up with the basic story. Roy Clarke wrote the script.

This will never come to DVD for several reasons:-

Barry Gibb, and Warners no longer own the rights to the film

The film was a huge flop in 1988 and did not even make a profit

The VHS was also unsuccessful

The owners may do an pay to burn policy where you can purchase a burned copy onto DVD-R like Burt Reynold's Malone and Universal's 1987 Bates Motel.

Plans however, are not in place as of Late September 2015.

How about international distribution rights? Paramount issued it in the US, CBS/Fox in Germany. Even if those rights expired since then some smaller distributors may be interested in putting the film out in some capacity.

Would Odeon be interested in this? Second Sight, maybe? I'd wet myself if Arrow or MoC/Eureka would be interested in it!

It would be a shame if it was issued as a MOD thing because they couldn't pay me enough to pick up a DVD-R of any film, not even Gibb related.

It could be released on DVD but I guess it is nothing more than a forgotten film now.

It's that man again!!

It's on Amazon Prime Instant, just watched it this afternoon. I had never heard of it, but glad that I got to see it. Doesn't deserve to have been a flop.

Darling, I've been killing spiders since I was 30.
