Very Scary!

Damn this movie is so scary. A lot better than all the new Michael Myers Crap!

These sequels scared and disturbed the hell out of me as a child and still do. But this is by Far the best Michael Myers, psychologically gruesome.

reply

Personally, I didn't find it scary at all.

reply

Compared to the new ones. A lot more scarier definitely.

reply

I'm glad you liked it. The laundry shoot was the most tense scene in my opinion.

reply

Great scene.

Coookie Woooooman.

This and Halloween II are definitely the scariest sequels of the series. Michael is actually intimidated in this one and the film has an overall “charcoal” dark look to it that makes seem more visually terrifying. All the scenes in the woods and the Myers Mansion are especially scary. I also like Dr. Loomis’ speeches in this film especially his “rage” speech in the woods.

It is a very underrated film. There is something about the atmosphere in this one. More visually scary than Halloween 4 (even though that movie was still good and had a decent atmosphere and feel to it). Same thing with Halloween 6: That Strode house had a weird feel to it in 6.

reply

Yeah, I really like the atmosphere in Halloween 6 as well. That one feels the most like it takes place on Halloween with the decorations and Halloween festival and the cold look and feel of fall.

reply

Yes I watch this in two parts, when you get up to Tina being killed and then I stop, then the wood scene and myers house scene, first part not very good, second part lot of good stuff, creepy scenes, creepy house, good stuff by loomis.

So I think you are right

One of the best atmospheres in a Halloween film.

Definitely creepier than the newer entries.
