One of the scariest sequels

Tina and the “clown” cops are annoying, but this movie is the scariest the series gets after the first two films. This film has such a dark “crypt-like” look to it and the scenes of Michael subtly stalking in the background are off-puttingly frightening. Michael just seems more like an ominous presence in this film compared to most of the sequels. The scenes in the woods and the Myers house, especially the laundry chute sequence, are so intensely scary. The some of the films after this one are better movies but this scariest the series has been since.

I agree.

This has some good semi-Gothic atmosphere and great utilization of POV shots. Michaels lurking and watching is executed well in this film.
