Dennis played the piano in this movie? Man, he is rockin', I have even more admiration and respect for him.

umm well of course he had to take some lessons.
but i heard he didnt do all the piano playing.
even at the end credits it says the music is from 'the killer himself'
so cheah..
i dont think he did the paino.

I believe that he did play some of the piano in the movie. I remember renting the VHS of this years ago, at the beginning of the tape Jerry Lee and Dennis Quaid was playing duelling pianos. It was pretty amazing.

no, it said VOCALS by the Killer Himself, and Dennis didn`t have to take lessons, he already was playing the piano previously

Dennis Quaid played the beginning blues piano when it shows him in 1950's Memphis playing at his cousin's house. But when Myra comes in from school, that's Jerry Lee's playing style.
