The burning piano scene!

I tell you what, I don't care how superficial or cartoon-like this movie painted the real Jerry Lee Lewis to be, I loved his hubris and his burning piano. He was crazy and colorful and reminded me of Tom Hulce in Amadeus!

Amadeus is also another great biopic.

This film wasn't that bad either.

Jerry Lee Lewis was and continues to be an amazing performer, and this film is certainly in his spirit. This is far from a perfect biopic, but it's nothing if not entertaining. I just don't think a slow, meditative approach would have worked.

How much would a grand piano cost in 1956? I hope he wrote them a check before he left the building.
