The Chameleon

A pard over at the SASSwire pointed me to this as being the most historically accurate version of the Billy the Kid story.
Watched Gore Vidal's Billy the Kid last night. As I watched it, I remembered that I'd seen it years before.
I was very impressed with Kilmer's performance. The guy is a chameleon. He did Top Gun before this, and his character in that was nothing like his portrayal of the Kid. He even made his mouth look as if he had the same buck-tooth look as Bonney.
At the same time, his Billy the Kid character was nothing like Doc Holliday either. He can be anyone.

I also enjoyed Wilfred Brimley as Gov. Lew Wallace.
