Which did you prefer?

I personally liked The Gods Must Be Crazy II more, I found it more touching, with the two children trying to get home, and found the comedy funnier :)

Both are beautiful movies though! They'll always be in my top 10.

GMBC II is an amazing film. So beautiful and funny. Far better than the first one. But GMBC I is the classic one. The cocacola idea is terrific.

I just watched 2. It was good, but the first one is an instant classic.

I agree that the first one is an instant classic. The second one is more touching but I found the two main characters (the two doctors) didn't have any of the charm or chemistry of the two in the first film. I really missed them when I watched this last night.

The comedy seemed to be lacking the effect of the original. Throughout the entire plane crash scene, I was wondering if it's meant to be funny. I just didn't get into it in the same way as the first film's jeep scenes.

BUT!! That scene where the kids are yelling in the canyons and can't understand each other because of the echoes is hilarious!!

Also that skunk or whatever it was is very cute and fascinating. :)

They're both excellent, and I'm hard pressed to decide. The slapstick of the first one, with Steyn constantly fumbling like an idiot whenever he's around Kate, is classic. But then there's the two soldiers in the second one, constantly capturing each other, which always makes me laugh myself silly. And I found Lena Ferugia more attractive than Sandra Prinsloo, but that's just me. Both show just how silly "civilized" life can be, which is sort of the point, and I love the sequence with the honey badger, especially when the doctor ends up carrying it.

I call it a tie.

I loved them both.

First one had an original story line ( finding that coke bottle was clever).
But I really loved them both. Can't decide which one was better. I gave them both 10 stars.

The first movie was classic.

The second movie was good, but not as good and hilarious as the first.

I'm currently watching The Gods Must Be Funny In China.

I found both pretty good! Hard to decide which one is funnier! Both had some funny parts that the other one didnt have, and both were clever and witty movies.
I do however prefer the first one a bit, simply beacause it was first! The concept wasnt as new and fresh in the second one as it was in the first one!
But its a very tight race actually,I like them both..

the first one was way better. This one was boring. Kids go on a truck find water yay. Plane flying around zzzz.

first one was interesting with lots of insight on how small things can make a difference when they are unknown.

The first one is my personal favourite but GMBC2 is funnier.

The first one I enjoy more in every aspect - except Ann is really hot in II.

But I like II too.
