I brought the film to Criterion as a work in progress. It later was up for an Oscar, but didn't win. After the laserdisk came out it was broadcast on PBS and never had a theatrical video release. Of course it came out on DVD when Criterion switched to that format. The soundtrack was by Eno and though was a beautiful film it was a bit too long.
