Why does Joleen pull away from Jimmy like that??

She starts making out with him like someone thirsty in a desert, then suddenly she is screaming and pushing him away.
I thought maybe he didn't let her 'come up' for air, but it didn't appear that way. But I haven't seen the film in a very long time.
Anyone tell me??

she was only fourteen in the movie.. she was into jimmy...
but also inexperienced. jimmy was apparently too agressive for her.
&& when she went to pull away a little... he didnt back off. which obvi
caused her to panic.
my view on things

I think she realized how aggressive he was being and that he wasn't going to stop. Then she panicked even more, of course, when she realized she was right and he pushed her back into the ground and climbed on top of her.
