The Fabulous Bridges Brothers!
Great script, great performers and great performances from all the cast. One of my favourite films. Great to see Jeff honoured for his standout role in Crazy Heart, must be Beau's turn soon.
shareYes, the great performances by the Bridges aren't noticed nearly enough because Pfeiffer attracts (and deserves) so much attention. Jeff has always very powerfully understated, and I think that makes people take him for granted .... or at least they took him for granted in the 80s and 90s. And I don't think Beau ever got the recognition he deserved for his beautiful work, especially way back in "Norma Rae." Also, there's something about seeing two real brothers play onscreen brothers ... there's an ease with each other you can't quite put your finger on. And it adds another layer of shock in FBB when the violence erupts between them after the telethon.

Beau Bridges definitely is an underrated actor. He's not as attractive not as skinny as his brother but he definitely is an equal to Jeff.
When he became a regular in Stargate SG-1 I was really happy, and he walked right into the curious world of Sci-Fi like he had done it before, what a flexible actor he is.
