good movie
Call me crazy but I think this movie is pretty good. Ive seen this movie on tv a few times and will always stop and watch some of it. Its a fun movie with some good laughs

shareIt doesnt seem to be a very popular movie judging by the number of posts on the board which is too bad. I dont know if there would be enough demand to put out a DVD. I would have thought with a movie like this more people would have seen it and liked it.

Whats wrong with being too pro US. It is certainly alot better than what the people had to face living in the USSR. The movie reflected the people of the USSR wanting a better life that could be found in the US.

Nobody ever said every country but the US is evil. Thats just more BS people from other parts of the world like to lie about to try and put the US down for whatever reason. There are many great countries to live in and there are many that arent so great. People in the US just dont think the way you are trying to claim that everyone else is evil. That is just not how people in the US view other countries.
There is a big difference between the old Communist USSR and USA. People were not being shot trying to flee the US like they were with the USSR and other Communist countries. The idea and plot of the movie where people wanted to leave communist USSR for the US is based on reality. Communist regimes are oppressive and the US represents the opposite of that.

I didn't see it so much as USA is better than everybody else, it was just like RonaldMcdonaldMiller said, it was better than the old communist Russia.
The reason they didn't have Russian accents is because they were being led to believe that they were Americans so they could be planted in America. Most of them didn't even know they were Russian.
Nobody screwed up on the casting job.
I'm not surprised that it never made it to the theaters, it would have bombed, but I still liked the movie. I'll watch it whenever it comes on tv because I think Kelly Preston is a babe.
