Wow

Why is this movie so freaking weird? Weirs in a good way...I think, all I know is when Tim Robbins was going around thinking he was invisable I was craking up.

Yeah, welcome to the whacky world of Terry Jones and the little taste he gives of the genius that made the Monty Python-humour so unique. Erik the Viking remains to be one of my alltime favourite comedies. Just the scene where John Cleese is sitting in court is simply priceless. Or you remember the one where Erik tells his Granpa that he's finally found a woman?

"What did you do with her?" Erik's devastated: "I killed her!" Grandpa proudly: "Aaaah, THAT's my boy!"

That's the Monty Python-spirit at it's best. Sure, the movie may have some flaws and the budget might have been running low. But it's just good solid surreal fun from some of the gang...

Unfortunately the DVD release is HORRIBLE. I hope the film will be treated properly in the near future.

Why this movie is rated a 5.6 is beyond me...that means that more people think that the Fast and the Furious is better than this. Damn those twelve year old girls!

I don't get the bad rating either. It's such a good and really funny film. I loved it as a kid and I still love it now 'cause it still makes me laugh. Plus the performances were great.
