Incredibly pornographic and lascivious
This movie broke all the rules. It's incredibly pornographic in it's scenes where Perkins smokes his crack pipe and gets uncontrollably libertine, lascivious and lustful. But then again, that's what crack cocaine does to many people. No exposé on cocaine I've ever scene, whether documentary or fictionalized, has ever shown this side of that drug. Richard Pryor used to joke about cocaine's sexual powers, but virtually every other account just dismisses it as in destroying libido when often the exact opposite is true. The number of sexual crimes committed while under its influence should shed some light on the subject, but this movie actually delves into the aphrodisiac qualities of the drug. For some people cocaine acts as a powerful aphrodisiac with the only drawback being it's muscle relaxing effect which prevents or instills erectile function. If this film were allowed, I'm sure it would have gotten into that property too, it's such a radical film. I've only seen it once when it first came out and would love to see it again. It's so lewd you won't believe it passed censorship, let alone avoid a triple xxx rating for explicit drug use short of showing genitalia. Too bad. Skinny Perkins was said to have been hung like a stallion.
