Are there any lost scenes with Brando?

On my German Video back-cover of DRY WHITE SEASON was a picture of Brando, witch shows him wrestling with two officers in the court-room. But this scene doesent appear in the movie. I read somewhere, that Euzan Palcy (the director), was forced to recut the film. Does anybody knows something about lost Brando-Scenes in the movie?

She did indeed cut this scene, for a reason she explains it clearly in this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=4A6Fc-DqxVo

Hallo.

Many thanks for that link.
I think, from director Palcy`s point of view, it was (dramaturicly), right to cut this scene.
But Iam shure that it has to be a great scene (and Marlon seems to love it too), so I would love to see it.

Its a shame, that the scene doesent appear as an extra on the DVD of the movie (witch sadly doesent have any extras at all, like many Warner DVD-Releases).

Best whishes,

Apparently Brando featured a lot more in the film than was seen in the final cut, and he complained in promotional interviews at the time that the film's effect had been diluted due to a lot of his scenes having been cut.

i read somewhere that about 30 minutes of brandos material had to be cut because it was the only way they could stick to the allowed run time for the movie, while still maintaining that the story made sense. they should release these lost scenes in a special blu ray or dvd edition.
