OK - so they smoke a lot out of school, I get it. But Dinger is smoking while watching gym class? And Dumas is smoking in the hallway? It isn't the 70s.

Maybe Dinger smokes while nobody is looking. It's funny because in 1989, I just started high school, & I remember smoking was definitely not allowed inside the school! lol!

I graduated HS in 1987, we could smoke between classes and in gym if was outside. Just saying.

However we couldn't walk into a dance flagrently drinking from a flask like Joel did :)

I just couldn't get over the amount of smoking in this movie, I've seen just about every movie from this era and wow. this one almost takes the cake for someone smoking in every scene.
