Michael Damian's Rock On

I think this song plays a big part in the movie as well. Some of you may recall that the song was on the radio at the time and also starred the Coreys in the video clip. Part of my mp3 collection, everytime I listen to it, it takes me back to the movie. Its one of those movie songs you listen to that makes you wonder how the movie could've existed without it.

The video clip also has Meredith Salenger in it, and if you can find the VHS anywhere it shows it before the movie. I love the song- perfect choice for this movie :)

I just thought it would only be fair to mention that while Michael Damian was a one-hit-wonder with "Rock On", his version is almost an exact duplicate of David Essex's original version. If you ever get the chance to hear the David Essex original, compare them.

The other day I was surfing through the channels and on VH1 there was a music video of Def Leppard doing a version of Rock On. I reconized the song before I realized who was singing it. Not as good as Michael Damian's version, but it was still cool to watch and listen to. I just thought I'd share that.

esistono 2 differenti versioni del video musicale di michael damian "rock on"

I don't know which version of the song it is, but their is a video of it from the early 70's I believe, and there is a retarded guy in it...I thought it was very odd at the time considering that the person is featured very prominently in the video. I do not believe there is anything wrong with having a mentally handicapped person in a video, but it struck me as odd, considering it was a time period before polical correctness (remember the ghostbusters cartoon with the wheelchair ghostbuster)and before "Life Goes On".

I like Michael Damian's version better than the original one with David Essex. They did a great job with it.

Yes, a great remake of a classic seventies pop song. Both versions rock but this one reminds me of Bobby and the Dinger.
