I dare anyone to play the Joel Drinking Game!!!!!!!!!!

I now noticed that Joel points his fingers up wayyyyy toooo many times. That it made me realize that playing this Joel finger drinking game can and will make anyone who watches this movie get too drunk

I'M ALIVE!!
I randomly decided to check my message board history. (I have no life)

I don't think that I actually played... if I did, I blacked it out completely.
I WILL report back.

*UPDATE!*
I wasn't drinking tonight... but decided to watch and keep tally. (i TOLD you, i have no life!) Also, I'm about to get WAY into this...

First, there are plenty of variables to be considered, but I decided to go with 1 tally for every 1 finger pointed up. So when he pointed Left finger up, both hands up, then Right finger up, I counted that as 2. I also decided to include when he put both hands up, as a variation. About halfway through, I decided to start making separate tallies for when he pointed AT people and not up.

ON THAT NOTE...
The first tally is made at 19:12, with an IMMEDIATE second tally.

The most tallies were made when:
1. Joel is telling Bobby, outside of the school, that Lainie won't have sex with him.
2. When Joel is driving, and talking to himself, on his way to meet Dumas with the gun.

By the end, I have a tally of 28 for pointing up... with 1 finger AND both hands. I have a tally of 9 for pointing AT people, but I also started counting later.

IN CONCLUSION...
1. You would surely die if you played with shots.
2. I should get out more (but I don't actually want to)

The funniest scene in the movie is when Corey Haim mocks him by imitating his finger gesture.

When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.

Yeah I recently re-watched this for the first time in years and I got a good chuckle out of that because I was REALLY noticing it for the first time. I got the impression that it was probably improvised by Haim, rather than part of the script which just makes it even funnier.

VERY late to this discussion but I gotta add that after watching this movie again for the first time since the 90s, I was definitely distracted by the Joel actor's constant double finger pointing hand gesture. Like literally almost every scene. I have to wonder if the director was instructing him to do that or if it was his own personal touch that the director simply ignored.
