Where to find the DVD?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how can I get hold of the DVD please? THanks.

There is a Dutch DVD, which is English subtitled (I can verify, I rented it yesterday). Look for the title:

Waarom Vetrok Bodhi Dharma Naar het Oosten?

How's that Dutch DVD look? There's a German DVD under the title "Warum Bodhi-Dharma in den Orient aufbrach?" with Dutch, French, and English subs, and I assume it's the same...

There MUST be a better version out there than the muddy R1 N American disc.

It's far from pristine, possibly the same source as your R1.

Also, in the top-right hand corner of the IMDB page for this film, you can see there are US and Canadian versions available from Amazon.

There is a "Director's Deluxe Edition" coming on American DVD October 16, 2007.

The The Director's Edition (on Milestone Cinematheque) features 5.1 Dolby Digital sound, improved English & Korean subtitles, enhancement for widescreen, remastering for better picture, and 10 minutes of previously unseen footage added into the body of the film (as opposed to; tacked on as a 10 minute bonus menu feature). I have owned both versions. Does all this make The Director's Edition a better viewing? Yes. Does it dramatically changed the path of the film or alter the substance? No. Do I prefer The Director's Edition? Yes.

Trigon Film based in Switzerland has a DVD of this film.

I have this film shared on p2p program SoulSeek, you can install the program (takes 5 sec.) and download this any time if you're still interested (I see the first post is 10 year ago but still :)).
