1950-1960 era horror/scifi vibes.

Is it only me that got huge 1950-1960 horror/scifi movie vibes? Many things like the score and the filming got me thinking about those golden eras.
It felt like a old director from that era tried to merge his old style with the 1980 style.
I remember liking it when I rented it as a new video release. Now I barely could stand watching it to the end.
