Was Deathstalker the First Puma Man?

I was watching the MST3K version of Deathstalker today. In the scene in which Deathstalker was trying (and failing) to keep hidden in the tent of the princess' dead sister, the camera kept panning back to the faces of of one of the bodyguards. I couldn't miss that face anywhere, I was almost sure that it was Vadinho, the Aztec Priest in Puma Man (or is that Pewma Man, Donald). So I looked up Puma man, and found out that Vadinho was played by Miguel Angel Fuentes, and that he has quite an extensive resume (which is awesome to see Vadinho living large -- the guy who played Tony Farms a/k/a Puma Man, hasn't been so fortunate in terms of working after Puma Man) and saw that he is indeed Bodyguard #1 in this film. So as the scene went on, i thought, man, how are Mike and the Bots not commenting on this.

Then when the Deathstalker somehow blows his cover by showing the princess' sister a stick, Mele ensues, and Mike, using Vadinho voice says "Get him men, he kicked Tony!"

I thought that was a pretty cool MST3K moment I hadn't picked up in a while. Puma Man is in my top 5 ever, so I mark out for it.

Got me thinking, maybe Vadinho is only undercover here. Maybe he had just been dropped off by the Gods, and was waiting to give Deathstalker his magic belt at the right time! Maybe Pumastalker should have been the next!

I doubt Mike purposely did the voice as this episode is older than the Pumaman episode. This was just before they made the jump to the Sci-Fi station and Pumaman was in the second season of the Sci-Fi seasons.

Tony Farms is a successful lawyer. He probably made Pewmayman to pay for law school.
