Better with age

Seeing this again 20 years later as an adult makes me appreciate the message more. Thank you Robin Williams :)

I agree. I was only 11 when this came out. I believe I saw it once on tape or on TV, then my English teacher showed it to us when I was in high school and over the years I have seen bits and pieces on cable here and there. Three months ago it was on cable so I decided to watch it (as a 37-year-old adult) and I found that I enjoyed it a lot more than I did as a kid/teen. I watched it again today and I seriously wanted to just start it over again an hour after it ended!

Not sure if I just didn't appreciate it before or if age really does make a difference and getting older certain scenes just affect me more (such as the scene where they are all looking at the photos of past students who are now "fertilizing daffodils"). I never disliked the film--I always felt it was a good movie. But I obviously never felt the need to watch it again for two decades and now just want to watch it over and over. I guess since my youth is now gone this has a different meaning for me.
