this tv movie is 16 years old

1989 [that’s the date that danny, champion of the whorld was originally issued on to tv]
- 1999
= 10 years since that film issued
+ 6 additional years [since it was last seen on tv]
= 16 years

so, i think that this film should get a theatrical retelling
with irons , playing the father , once again
but with a new younger kid, playing his son

I wouldn't mind, but I would certainly like this to get released on DVD before such an event - it's a very nice, charming rendition, I don't understand its low rating on imdb.

It's not been 6 years since it was last seen, I saw it this morning on sky movies. I think it's already brilliant - it doesnt need a retelling.
