Shooting locations
I'm curious to know where they actually shot this mother, if anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it.

shareI read on the Wikipedia page for North Carolina that this movie was filmed there, but the Wiki-page for this movie doesn't mention that. The crucifixtion scene could have been filmed at the outer banks, and the city scenes anywhere. Lots of movies are filmed in NC because the state has such varied geography (mountains, beaches, deserts, cities, farms, etc.) and because the state gives massive tax breaks to film companies.

Well, they're not true deserts, but the Outer Banks are often used as desert backdrops by film-makers. Example. http://jakelyell.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/070427_20.jpg
shareVery interesting, now that I think about it it does seem like a lot of movies I notice in various trivia sections are filmed in NC. I didn't know that they give production companies massive tax breaks but it makes since, thanks for the info!

it was mostly filmed in Brunswick and New Hanover counties in NC. 2 locations I know for certain are
Brick ruins battle with the camo guys
-This is the Meat Packing Plant near Leland NC. I have never been there but many of my friends have. You can probably find in on an Urban Exploration site or Google Earth.
Battle with the factory with pipes
-This is (was) on the back lot of the EUE/Screen Gem studios in Wilmington and was visible from 23rd street. Looking on Google Earth I can not see it so it may have been torn down
Last film I know of to use it was the final battle scene in Blood Moon
The factory was filmed at the Ideal Cement Factory in Castle Hayne, NC. It's still there and has been used for many productions. Also, I believe the crucifixion scene was shot in the desert area around the Salton Sea.
"It's my car." RIP Charles Bronson
Regarding Leland,NC, location. Tried to find it using google earth but didn't find it.
I'm pretty a sure that ruin is also used in an episode of the recent tv-series Revolution.
Anyone know if it's still present?
