Best use of slow motion.

This is a weird little film but I love it to bits. The post apocalyptic setting is great and it's just so typical of the time.

It also features what I think is the best used of pre-CGI slow motion ever. Almost every second shot is in high frame rate smooth slow motion and it adds a weight to the action that's really cinematic yet quite a trademark of the film itself.

Being an absolute sucker for synth music the score is tremendous as well and definitely one of the films highlights.

As for the lore about who the Cyborg is, well it's obviously Pearl Prophet but I always considered Fender a Cyborg too. His voice sounds synthetic and robotic, also his eyes are strange and prosthetic/enhanced looking too. I always had it in my head he was some sort of prototype that went horribly wrong and went on a murderous power rampage.

I like this kind of film, it's not designed for layered performances or award winning acting. Don't get me wrong I like that sort of high brow movie too but films like Cyborg just reach places that the serious stuff just can't touch.

It's straightforward, cool looking with plenty of solid and stylish action plus it has a great atmosphere and is perfect entertainment. It has the added value of being very retro now as well so that's another feather in it's cap.

Great stuff!
