Pace quicker on DVD

The review on the main page for this "film" says that it takes 3 hours to watch. On DVD (in the UK at least) it lasts just under 2 hours. I don't feel it got slow paced in the middle at all, it just added to the drama.

With all the commercials in the States, I'm not surprised it lasts 3 hours.

IMDb lists the original at 200 minutes (the UK DVD is 104 minutes).
