Writing dialogue

The way Woody Allen writes dialogue for an extended family and their friends & acquaintances is simply amazing. To have all these different voices and opinions inside one person's writing is unbelievable. Allen is not given enough credit for non-stop incredible writing. Look at all his films and all the characters he wrote lines for and it makes one's head spin. He is able to write for both men and women. Great job here especially. Go, Woodman!

I agree. He's incredible at writing from many points of view.

Most of his male leads largely sound and act the same, especially from the 1990's onwards. They're blathering, bumbling sophistoes largely taking after Allen's own screen persona. His writing has actually become quite limited as the time's gone by.
