"I generally avoid what passes for romantic comedy these days as well as many other movies although I did enjoy DRAG ME TO HELL a few years ago. I thought it was the funniest movie I'd seen in years, and I'm 69. Give me Tracy and Hepburn, Hepburn and Grant, Fred and Ginger, etc."--pjwoodll1
That's when films were pretty good. Fortunately for DVD and VHS I'll be exploring that era of Hollywood soon, right now though I've been working my way through the eighties.
Nothing wrong with going to earlier movies to fulfill entertainment needs. For the last two years I have pretty much stuck to eighties and early nineties era movies and avoided releases made in the 2000's. In fact, I'll probably will work my way backwards. It isn't a steady rule, but I've found the recent Hollywood fare NOT to my liking at all.
