Couple minor problems that bother me

Ok, I really do like this movie a lot but a few minor things bother me.

First, I hate how Tate is brandishing his huge weapon on the side of a busy highway and no one thinks to stop or call the cops. Not to mention the fact he's pointing it at a little boy in the middle of the highway (!!)

Second, I wish they stop with the spontaneously combusting police cars. C'mon, explosions are really not that interesting. Shooting the tires out was fine.

Third, what in the hell would the mob need with the informant's kid anyway??

Fourth, way too much blood coming from the trunk in the gas station, especially since Tate had a vest on. A trickle of blood would be fine, not the huge pool that was shown.

And last, doesn't anyone see Cohen taking a kid in handcuffs to the bathroom of a brightly lit all-night gas station? He wasn't very subtle.

I know I'm just nitpicking. Like I said, still a good movie.

Just to offer my POV on the niggles.
1) If anyone saw Tate with the shotgun, I doubt they'd pull over they might pull off the highway and find a payphone, but by the cops would have got there, he'd have been long gone.

2) I agree but without even looking I bet the explosions were added to the scene to put in the trailer. Tate standing there while the cars burnt was a good visual.

3) The kid wasn't the son of an informant, he was a witness to a killing, most likely of a mob guy, Cohen & Tates employers wanted to know what the kid saw (i.e. who did it).

4) I agree, the blood was gushing out the car when Tate only had a headwound & cut knee, I guess it was done to add a action sequence and/or to mislead us over Tate's health so he could surprise the audience by springing out the car trunk later. Maybe the blood all just ran to one side and leaked out of a hole in the old rustbucket at the worst moment.

5) Didn't seem to be anyone around outside but in my experience, night time clerks are eyeballin' everyone walking by. But if he's situated at the back then the freezer, racks & huge open sign would've blocked his view, the open door providing the only good view if he was looking for those 2 seconds. I put way too much thought into that one, that's the Detective in me putting myself in everyone else's eyes to make sense of something.
