Theres far worse out there, leave Milo and Otis alone

People are all going crazy about the suspected animal cruelty in this film, and i just have to say, "you're being idiots!" First of all if you don't like it don't watch the movie. Second, we have no way of knowing if any animal cruelty took place in the making of this film and as it was made about 30 years ago i don't see what bitching about it now is gonna accomplish. Third, it makes perfect sense that multiple puppies and kittens where used, have any of you ever been around puppies and kitten? they grow a lot over a short span of time and it would have taken multiple animals to keep the characters consistent. Fourth, as for the whole bear thing, i'd be willing to bet it was the same set up they used in Old Yeller, where no one got hurt, it was just good movie making/animal training. and lastly for those of you who think the cliff thing is so bad, you've obviously never seen Cannibal Holocaust, that people is the animal cruelty you should be protesting, compared to what was done in Cannibal Holocaust, Milo and Otis would be PETA approved. I dont want to come off as being in favor of animal cruelty because i'm not, i happen to love animals, and i don't like seeing them hurt, and i know i dont know what really went on when making this movie, and i could be completely wrong, but this is just a classic kids movie, and you all are ruining it by going on and on about the supposid animal cruelty. just drop it already.

This was my favorite movie as a little kid and the fact that there might have been animal cruelty involved behind the scenes pisses me off.

You forgot to mention the most important fact. The director of Milo and Otis owned an animal farm and, from what most people have heard, he loves animals. I think that's enough proof to show there was no animal cruelty.

What makes me sick is all these people coming here to complain about it, even though that whole thing about animal cruelty is a myth! It's like they don't even read!

What really pisses me off is them saying that all those who love the movie are horrible people because of what they think is true. I've loved this movie since I was a kid, how effing DARE anyone try to make me feel guilty for that! >:(
