Question about nearly the end. *spoilers are definite so stay away*

Stop reading now if you do not wish to know the answer to this mystery.

Okay, I just saw the movie and I adored it! Can you not envision Miss Marple whacking Mr. Rafiel with an umbrella? I kept thinking she should, at least to begin with anyway. lol!

But I digress...

One important clue to Miss Marple was the fact that Mr. Rafiel's heir was Esther. Because he had lied earlier, this greatly upset Miss Marple. She says something about immediacy before yet another murder is committed, which sounded to me like a third murder. I took this to mean that there was likely a plan between Esther and Tim to murder Mr. Rafiel.

Does anyone agree? I'm curious about why it mattered so much to Miss Marple.

I think she was intimating that they had to be quick to prevent Tim Kendal from murdering his wife. I haven't read the book, so I could be wrong.

No, you're right.
