I don't care what they titled this film or how many times they use the word Chud in it. This is not a Chud movie. It is a zombie movie. And a silly one at that. This movie has as much to do with C.H.U.D. as Troll 2 had to do with Troll.

This is the exact same thing I was going to say! I hated this movie so much back when I saw it on VHS, and still hate it now. I kept thinking this is just a rip off of ROTLD, and a really bad one. Mind you, I never thought ROTLD was a masterpiece but it was like Othello next to this crap.

shareBoth were produced by Andrew Bonime, weren't they? Perhaps their were budget restraints, or maybe Andrew just wanted to cash in on a zombie flick instead. Wasn't it true in the original the CHUDs were intended as zombies rather than mutants? I thought I heard that part on the DVD commentary, but it's been probably ten years since I last listend to it.
