Seriously, the first film is nearly unwatchable due to how insanely boring it is. We dont see the CHUDs until past the 30 minute mark and we only see a total of about 5 minutes worth of them, or so it seemed. They spent way too much time dealing with unlikable and pointless human characters than the cool looking monsters the film is named after.

Bud The Chud is straight to the point. Its funny (kinda), entertaining, and...thats about it. It isnt great, but its much more watchable than the first. Plus, that song is catchy.

First C.H.U.D. was epic and still has a loyal fanbase. The creature effects still hold up very nicely.

Second 'chud' is just horrible, should be a warcrime, and if the producer wasn't a teacher at NYU and assigning 'give my bad movie a positive review' as the students homework, this stinker would have the 1.0 rating it deserves. Anyone can look at an image of the first CHUD vs an image of the second "chud-ish thing" to see there is no comparison in the production values. Second chud = chalky face + eye shadow.

No sane, honest person could ever imagine this 'sequel' to be superior in ANY WAY to the first.

I may be in the minority by a small margin but I AGREE. I love CHUD 2. Always preferred it to the first.

I literally just watched CHUD with my GF and we are contemplating watching the sequel. It does not seem to extend the first ones story very much or have cool creature effects. Pretty disappointing.

I don't think it's worth our time.

Hmm... Just saw this old post... I don't think I want to watch it again to check but my memory of the sequel is that it is barely connected to the first and bad on just about every level. Of course, I think the original is just short of brilliant (mostly pacing) so, I assume we have different mindsets.

the first Chud is boring and overrated. never understood the fanbase for it. something like Tremors is infinetely better than Chud. The second Chud is at least funny.
