I went on this ride.

That must of been like 10 years ago. Who else rode it?

I've ridden it many times.

I rode it a few times last fall. I didn't care for it because it was too jerky. I mean, the motion didn't seem to have anything to do with what was going on on the screen, and mostly we were just bonching and being thrown left and right too sharply. I much prefer the smooth but wide motions of Star Tours.

Although, I think the concept was really cool. My favorite part is when you use lasers to shoot a white blood cell attacking Dr. Lair. I'm not sure why you have lasers, but they're cool. Those white blood cells gave me chills- all paper thin and *beep*

Actually, I did like this ride. I want to ride it again. Who'll come with me next Christmas?

Dear posting members:

While it's sad to hear that Body Wars has closed for good, I am pleased to announce the audio transcripts circulating around the internet. Those who are willing to listen to it and relive the glory days are welcome to check it out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7YWuMBItzU - that's from the footage they played at the queue area

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CU0X8BbFggo - that's from when you arrived at the entrance of the probe room.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRvZrJOp3aA - that's from the original 1989 ride, and probably one in its heyday... what early participants feel as the real "Body Wars" of Epcot.

Still, the only thing I have learned from the ride are from videos circulating the net as we speak. At least we have memories, and at least we can share them with everyone else.

Peace!

Note to self: Only open mouth to insert sandwiches.

This was one of several rides I went to when I went to Disney World when I was 5. It was, in a word, amazing! I am actually quite shocked that it is closed now, but hopefully someday they can release it on DVD somehow, similar to how Universal released footage from the Back to the Future ride onto the first BTTF's DVD release from 2009. One can dream.
