This is the best Flemish film ever imho.
Who agrees, who disagrees?
Let's get this topic rolling!!!!

The best? I don't know ?
But I do like it a lot! I recorded it on Arte some years ago. Thanks Arte! probably the only way in France to get interesting movies in original version and in languages other than english.
Unfotunately, my recording is getting old and the sound and the pictures are worse and worse each time I watch it. So I'm interested in the DVD you mention in another thread, even if it is not so good !!!
Where can it be found.
My niece is going to Brussels next week, anf if she can find it for me !!

Hi, the dvd should be available from the usual retailers in Brussels : Free Record Shop, Virgin, etc...
Since you are French, please note that the Universal dvd does NOT have subtitles in French.

reply

Thanks,
I saw it already many times with subtitles, so I think I can now manage without.
By the way do you have some other suggestions about good film in Nederlands.
Thanks again

But Blueberry Hill is def. top 5 best Belgian movies ever

reply

It's "THE" film that got we watching Belgian films in the first place. It certainly is a contender for one of the best.

I recorded it from the TV here in the UK (with English Subtitles) in 1993 and recently bought it on DVD. I also enjoyed the sequel (or part II of the trilogy???) "Brylcream Boulevard" alas it's not on DVD yet!

Hi there.
I didn't like the 2nd part, I'm afraid... It added nothing to the original.
And no, there is no part III.
BTW : recently I rediscovered the fantastic American Graffiti by George Lucas. And I'm pretty sure that Robbe De Hert (director of Blueberry Hill) was a great fan of this movie as well... ;-)
