Ridley Scott's first cut of the film was 2 hours and 40 minutes long.

Does the DVD carry deleted scenes? I watched this on TV...

There were no deleted scenes included on either the DVD or Blu Ray release of the film.

Unlikely, and the theatrical cut is excellent. But it would be interesting to see what was left out.

I would also love to see Scott's original 160 min cut of the movie. Based on what i heard so far, some interesting plot parts were deleted, but what i really want to see is alternate ending in which Nick kills Sato. Theatrical trailer does have one shot which could be from alternate ending. It shows shot of Matsumoto putting his hand on his chest at 2:12 mark; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95-bc1DZovg

Personally, i wouldn't mind if Scott choose to use that ending, but the one that he eventually choose is also good.

Too bad that they never at least included deleted scenes and alternate ending as bonus feature on DVD. Maybe if they made new special edition on new bluray release...?
