How much is Jennifer Jason Leigh in this?

I just bought this movie on Blu ray since Jennifer Jason Leigh is my favorite actress (and this movie is about the film business, I love movies). Is she a really small character? Or is it big enough to be called a supporting role?

She only shows up at the beginning as Nick's fellow film school classmate and later to inspire his music video project, but she's very funny and goofy in the part.
