My video store is confused...?

So we have this local video store that's known for having a lot of rare films. One time when I was looking through their horror vhs selection, I came across a film called "Don't Open the Door 3" (well, at least that's what the paper said. See, they sometimes didn't even have the artwork for the films, just a plastic sleeve and a piece of paper with the title and description of the film). Looking it up, I can not find any evidence of a film with that title ever existing (of course there was "Don't Open the Door" but there's no 2 or 3). I figured they must have gotten the title confused with "Beyond the Door 3" (I also think I recall the paper mentioning it being a sequel to "Shock" which, of course, was "Beyond the Door 2").
Anyway, here's the thing. Where the plot description of the movie was supposed to be, it just talked about how the film was a blatant rip-off of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" complete with a disfigured killer who wears a glove with knives on the fingers. So I was intrigued to watch this film. Well, I just watched it, and, um, there's nothing like that in there.
How in the world could they have been SO way offbase? Or is there an actual movie out there that they could've actually been talking about that has a title similar enough to warrant such a mistake?

Hmmm...interesting. I think you are right.
Ha, I like that the Italian title for that film is "Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3" which, you know, is just ridiculous.

That’s got to be it. It’s a Claudio Fragasso rip off that stars the girl who rode with Adrienne Barbeau in Cannonball Run. It’s a fantastic “so bad it’s good” movie, and highly recommend for fans of that genre.
